Yes, today is the day that the Academy Awards ceremony takes place in Hollywood California – and what better way to celebrate cinema that with a mouth full of “OScar-Shaped Smoked Salmon And Caviar Toasts”?
That is, indeed what Wolfgang Puck prepares for the after party – and this day reminds me of a very funny social media obsession:
Celebrities Eating!
You are about to experience celebrity coverage with a VERY unique twist – celebrities eating food!
Sex Symbols Like Their Burgers Too!
Yes, Marilyn Monroe enjoyed a burger, and why not? In her day, photographers hovered for any chance to photograph the star, even if it was while she was dining…
Raquel Welch was a 70’s sex symbol, and it appears that she also always had a burger – and a photographer – at the ready…
And don’t forget “The King”…
Elvis And A Cheeseburger!
Elvis enjoyed a good burger as well, and as usual, there was a photographer nearby to capture the moment…just like the time that Frank Sinatra was digging into a stack of pancakes!
And don;’t forget that Led Zeppelin Guitarist Jimmy Page enjoyed his hamburgers as well…
It seems that everyone has been photographed while eating – but I need someone to please tell me why Robert Plant has an ice cream cone AND a devilish look on his face!
Time To Investigate: Celebrities Eating Food Online!
It’s a scary thing to look up on the internet – if you enter search words celebrities and food – SO much stuff shows up, including compilations like this:
So George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the rest like to eat too – and someone took the time to create this tapestry celebrating it! It’s almost disturbing in a way – so many pics of celebrities eating – even funny stuff like this:
Yes, President Obama likes a good burger and fries like the rest of us. In fact, there is a Tumblr blog that has a ton of these pics – it’s called, of course:
The site has a picture of another President, President Kennedy, eating what they suggest is a hot dog at a ball game:
Today’s Hot Dog Eater!
And if you want a more current “celebrity” eating a hot dog, well this blog has that for you as well, courtesy of a very mod Lady Gaga:
Oh, Gaga like sandwiches too:
“Hey Miley! What’s For Lunch?”
If you have always wanted to ask Miley Cyrus that question, now the internet will answer it for you:
The correct answer is: she is having a salad in her bathrobe. As I said, there are tons of pics – and many funny websites – that highlight celebrities eating…and of course, there are tons of Kim Kardashian dining photos to gawk at – like these for starters:
You get the idea – there are literally a thousand more just like it – proving that celebrities are just like us, they enjoy food too!
I love sharing all kinds of food stories on “Bite! Eat! Repeat!” because, after all, we all eat!

John, I gave up on the Oscars a long time ago. Not only had I rarely seen the films nominated, I was becoming tired of the crocodile-tears speeches, annoying political correctness, and some mediocre films I hadn’t even bothered to watch.
I would much sooner see your celebrities eating assorted foodstuffs, to ne 100% honest.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes Pete, I was lucky to attend the Oscar ceremony 3 times, in the heyday when great films were rewarded and it was a true “celebration of cinema!” Those days are sadly long gone – but “CODA” is a wonderful film!
Have fun today. I’m sure you will cook, eat and be merry.
I was a huge Oscar fan until about five years ago. I am sick of politics. It is a day to celebrate the award and be entertained. Bring back, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway!
Plus, I’m angry about excluding major categories from the show. All the glamor and fun are over.
You are correct on all counts…they have stopped celebrating cinema and have turned it into a whinefest – you can have a POV on today’s issues, but this isn’t the time for it – and it is a true disgrace to force those categories into the hour before the telecast – you’ll get a 15 second “recap” – now, are the speeches dull and pointless? Yes, but that’s part of the show!
Enjoy your Oscar Day… it lost its appeal for me a few years ago…and it seems like I am not alone in that… Enjoy the food John that sounds like the most enjoyable part now …:) x

I quite fancy watching ‘Belfast’.
Hi John, I don’t think people are at their most glamorous when they are eating burghers. I’d rather be caught eating something a bit less messy.
Robbie, that’s what is so funny to me…that these shots are shared on social media as if they are interesting to see!

I’m glad we agree. Take care and enjoy your meal!
