It’s Friday – Drink Up! My Favorite “Video-Worthy” Cocktails For The Weekend!

Cheers To The Weekend!

That’s our good friend Yvette toasting with Alex as we kicked off a weekend of fun, and after the weeks we are all having, this Friday night tradition is more necessary than ever!

I’ve seen some very fun drinks lately, with a few that really have unique preparations….listen as our server explains what is happening as he delivers this three-layer “smokey” cocktail:

And it was delicious! That was fun, and sometimes I just happen to get a Vodka Martini willing to be bathed in a soft green light:

And let’s not forget this “sky-high” Martini duo! At The Grill in midtown Manhattan, they are expert at pouring your drink “sky high”:

And this one is really wild: we were with friends at a really cool bar in Chicago called King Of Cups!

Nothing out of the ordinary here: just two deliciously prepared drinks…oh, then the Mixologist came back to make another one: watch closely as the Server lights the drink – with his finger!

Finally, a cocktail can be mesmerizing, especially when helped by this rotating chandelier of golden winged horses over the bar at New York’s famous restaurant Tavern On The Green:

Yes, I watched those horses go round and round and round for a while! I also like to get a shot of a drink with a gorgeous Malibu sunset giving it some soft light:

I did a series of “life thru liquid” shots that you can see here:

Sometimes it’s not only drinks that are fiery: remember this flaming dish I saw prepared in Sardinia?

It was just one of the many flaming dishes I shared…see them all here:

And back to our friend Yvette: she owns an incredible Inn located in New York’s Hudson Valley…see inside here!

Finally, I will never forget the time Chef Michael Chiarello took to a blowtorch to finish a stuffed pork loin dish:

Chef Chiarello died recently, and it was a huge loss to the culinary world…see his story here:

So there you have it, some flaming food – and Cocktails for the weekend!!

    • Pete, it’s New York to be sure…they make cocktails as an art form…specialty cocktail lounges are the new thing here…a dozen or more that offer up cool drinks and small bites…and a full wine menu as well! One really cool one is off the entrance to the subway…I will share that story soon!
