Does this look good?
How about this?
Well, Bernadette made both of them for her latest installment of the “Cookbook Confidential Cookbook Club” – and she chose a book I recommended so click here to see the recipes for both dishes and her review of the cookbook!
As Bernadette wrote in her review, I recommended this cookbook because I love Patricia Wells, and Bernadette will share my recipe and review soon…here’s a tease:
Bernadette didn’t like how much garlic Patricia’s recipe called for when she made her dish, but I didn’t have that issue….for now, if you want another delicious and refreshing dish from Patricia…
This is a Provencal “Pan Bagnat” – a tuna sandwich with egg, tomato, Kalamata olives and more!
Here’s the link to the recipe for a perfect summer sandwich:
My wife Alex and I were lucky enough to cook with Patricia – at her provencal house!
Here’s a look at her weeklong cooking class in the south of France!
I like to try all kinds of new flavors, and if you do as well, how about a nice slice of pie:

A “Duck, Pancetta, Cabbage and Mustard” One!
Yes, I proved that not all pie is sweet – but incredibly savory in this case!
It was one of my “52 In 22” cooking challenges and you can see how it turned out here:
I also cooked from the legendary Chef / Author / TV Host Anthony Bourdain:
This is his bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, and you can see the recipe by clicking here:

Nice choice of book, John. I have it but couldn’t take part as we were having our kitchen renovated.
I am reading your story now!
I loved this little book, and for the life of me, I can’t figure out why it never made it to my bookshelf in the past! It’s there now.
That sandwich looks amazing, and what a wonderful experience to get to cook with her!
Thanks for the note…following you!
the pan Bagnat looks colorful and flavorful, both. love the ingredients
Nice memories for you of cooking with Patricia, John.
Best wishes, Pete.
