Tahini-Topped Meatloaf! Robbie Tackles Ottolenghi’s “Simple” Recipe Here!

Behold Robbie’s “Meat Loaf With The Tahini Sauce Topping!”

It’s the last day for the Kitchen Confidential Cookbook Review series, thanks to Bernadette….today, Robbie Cheadle tackles two recipes from Chef Yotam Ottolenghi’s “Simple” Cookbook!

Robbie’s review begins this way:

I bought the ebook of Ottolenghi Simple by Youtam Ottolenghi. I didn’t know anything about the author when I purchased the book, but I did look at the opening pages and note that the recipes generally had a Mediterranean flavour. My family like that type of food, so I took a chance and bought the book.

So Robbie not only made the Meatloaf recipe, but also this one as well:

Lamb Siniyah – served with roasted vegetables and rice

Well, that looks delicious as well! If you want to see the recipes for both, and Robbie’s review of the cookbook itself, then head over to Bernadette’s terrific “New Classic Recipe” website to see what Robbie thought!

I’ve shared many recipes from Robbie’s kitchen, because she makes delicious food like this:

I love fish and I love green olives so this was fun to make and enjoy!

See her recipe here:

I also took part in Bernadette’s weeklong review series:

I chose to review Chef Ottolenghi’s “Orzo with Prawns, Tomato and marinated Feta” recipe and you can see how it turned out by clicking on my review here:

For those who follow along on this blog, I enjoy making all kinds of food, even when it doesn’t turn out quite right:

For my wife Alex’s birthday, I made her a cake…so why did I write “Pisa” on top?

Oh, I think you know, but if you want to see a really delicious cake recipe get botched by me in the execution, click here!

And speaking of cakes…

I love to replicate great dishes from iconic restaurants around the world like this amazing potato cake!

This Parisian “potato cake” is incredible and you can make it at home!

Here’s the recipe:

  1. I love the combos and have never thought of tahini on meatloaf, but I’ll bet it’s delicious
