The “1,000-Slices” Cheeseburger!

Remember when I shared this? I’ll explain who did it and why in a moment, but that is a Burger King cheeseburger with 1,000 slices of cheese! That can’t be beat – can it?

The 1,050 Slices Bacon Cheeseburger!

Of course it can – by the 1,050 slices of Bacon Cheeseburger! There’s a reason behind these wild stacked burgers. Here’s my original story about these two monstrous creations:

After those two hilarious stacked meals, Burger King had another special promotion that led us to another new height: it began innocently enough, with Burger King offering grilled onions on their Whoppers, and a special deal for extra onions:

Burger King’s Onion Bomb!

When Burger King Japan released the Bakudan Oniteri (Onion Bomb) burger years ago as a special treat – a Whopper that is topped with five slices of grilled onion and drizzled with teriyaki sauce – Mr. Satofrom the terrific website SoraNews24.com jumped into action!

Mr. Sato once again took on Burger King’s deal and decided to repurpose the extra onion for making gyudon.

And he did! Mr. Sato created a grilled onion burger with 1,000 slices of onion…it’s all for the terrific website SoraNews24.com, which covers everything delicious and hilarious in Asia….I’ve covered their antics before:

Like when they posted Mr. Sato’s attempt to eat that “1,006 slices of cheese” burger!

See that story here:

I always remind readers that I do NOT endorse food waste or gluttony. All of these experiments are shared with the SoraNews office, so nothing goes to waste…but it is true that creating “mega meals” is a popular pastime:

Yes, there are restaurants that routinely try to make the “world’s biggest burger” or some such thing – and I only report on them by noting they are always for a table of people, not a single diner!

So…is a 15 pound burger too much of a good thing? See my story here:

As I said, I share photos of these big burgers – especially the world’s biggest!

  3. not an onion fan, other than grilled onions, so not for me, and I love the burger with kids standing next to it!

  4. These gimmicks are amusing, but the sight of them often makes me feel rather queasy, I have to say. 😊

    Best wishes, Pete.
