Hey, Who “Tartifletted?”
I know, pretty immature, but it’s a funny word that I didn’t know, but thanks to Michiel and Jean at their “Cook And Drink” website, now I do!

These two great Chefs share so many great recipes, and this is a new one…and they offer up some history of the “Tariflette’, which I loved learning!
Here is the recipe, which I will be making soon because it looks great!
My wife Alex is a “lover of potatoes”, and I’ve strived to find new recipes to satisfy that love…this one is a great addition!

I made this incredible potato cake at home, an homage to the terrific recipe served at the iconic Paris bistro Chez L’ami Louis…here is that recipe!
I have shared many of the Paris food adventures Alex and I have had – all through a potato lens!

Yes, these are “cheesy good” to be sure – but where did we have them?
See our Paris potato adventure here:
Yes, potatoes are our jam…we love them baked, Hasselbeck’ed and caviar-stuffed too!

Caviar Kaspia’s “Caviar Topped, Double-Baked Potato!”
This Paris delight is located in the Place de Madeleine, a terrific caviar shop that has a restaurant on the second floor, where you can have lots and lots of caviar, including on top of a twice-baked potato!

The potato is twice baked and combined with lots of cream and butter to create the perfect vessel to hold the briny, shiny caviar eggs – and of course, you must have shots of Russian Vodka on the side!

Alex brought me here for my birthday, and it was indeed the tastiest gift of all! You can see more about our trip here, and so other potatoes from our Parisian past as well by clicking here:

Bravo to Michiel and Jean – love your website!
