Chef Mimi’s Terrific “Braciole” Recipe! Here’s Her Great Recipe And Story!

Chef Mimi Cooks Italian!

I love reading Chef Mimi’s blog: it’s always filled with great recipes and insight as well, and this dish is no different!

Mimi made a very traditional Italian dish, and I loved what inspired her! As she posted on her blog:

“The first time I heard the word Braciole was on the show Everybody Loves Raymond, about an Italian-American family. It was an episode about when Debra, who makes braciole from a recipe in a magazine and everybody loved it. Her Italian-American mother-in-law Marie gets mad and jealous, because Braciole is hers to make!!!”

The power of TV! Click here to see Mimi’s take on this dish – it looks incredible!

I have dabbled a bit with traditional Italian recipes, like when I made a real “Sunday Gravy”, with help from The Sopranos:

I also learned that you NEVER put the meat in the gravy, but you serve it on the side! You know who taught me that? Actor Stanley Tucci!

Here’s that story:

My wife recently had Tucci on her TV show and showed him this picture!

Yes, it’s Stanley Tucci’s Timpano recipe from his film “Big Night!” He was impressed by the pic!
