Cold Out? This Terrific “Hazelnut Maple Eggnog” Will Warm You Up!

Who Needs A Tasty Way To Warm Up On A Cold Night?

If you live in an area that is currently experiencing winter, you may need a nice way to warm up…what do I mean by winter weather?

How about this:

I moved to New York in May, but it was just three days ago that the city got its first big snowfall of the winter…and it was only 30 degrees so it was very pleasant…it has been dipping into the 20’s, which is why I sparked to this recipe that Mimi shared:

It’s a delicious Hazelnut Maple Eggnog that I am going to make on a cold winters evening – and you can too! The recipe on Chef Mimi’s blog:

Mimi got the recipe from another great Chef. As she posted:

I have a favorite cooking blog I’d love to share with you, and it’s mostly because of her talents as a stylist and photographer. (I’m usually all about the food.) Her name is Eva Kosmas Flores, and her blog is Adventures in Cooking. Prepare to be gobsmacked. Her cookbook is First We Eat, published in 2022.

If you follow her blog you’ll get a free, gorgeous e-book of seasonal recipes. Following are some of her photos from the e-book.

A “win win” to be sure!

Speaking of cold weather dishes:

These winter recipes reminded me of some of the classic dishes I made after taking my daughter and her friend to Hollywood’s oldest restaurant!

Taht Eleanor next to me, then my daughter Jessica and wife Alex – toasting with one of Musso & Frank’s classic Martinis!

How classic? Well, the Waiters all wear black bow ties and red serving jackets, and the food is so retro and fun – for more than 100 years you can get the classic “blue cheese stuffed celery with black olives!”

Last year, as part of my “52 In 22” cooking challenge, I made this dish + the Martini AND they legendary Carbonara recipe with the great Hollywood history b behind it!

Click here to see how two silent Movie Stars managed to get “Alfredo” to give them the recipe!

Since we are talking Hollywood, Actor Stanley Tucci loves to cook as well, so I made his family’s Chicken Cacciatore recipe – here’s the entire thing up close:

About Stanley Tucci: you may know that I became obsessed with a dish he cooked on his CNN travel series.

How obsessed?

THIS OBSESSED!

I made “Spaghetti alla Nerano” with some added “Zoodles” as well – click here for this amazingly delicious recipe!
