Cookbook Confidential Tackles Goulash! Here Is Jo Tracy’s Take On Claudia Roden’s Recipe!

Day #2 Of Cookbook Confidential Has Goulash!

Bravo to Bernadette and her “New Classic Recipe” website for allowing a number of us to cook from this cookbook:

This series gives us all a chance to discover new recipes, and to offer up our opinion as to whether a cookbook deserves a spot on your shelf!

Today, Jo Tracy offers up some great insight about the book, a review that is really worth reading!

You can read the entire recipe and review by clicking here:

I have a blast taking part in these reviews, as it give me a chance to cook unique food from other cultures – like this:

I made this as part of the last “cookbook confidential” series, and you can see the entire recipe here:

I had rarely cooked Indian cuisine and this was an eye opener – just as when I cook Macau Meatloaf!

That unique dish was part of my “52 In 22” cooking challenge and you can see the entire recipe here:

I made this Chorizo Paella recently:

I loved this dish – but I still had to make it twice!

Click here to find out why:

I love cooking food from around the world, exploring different cultures and flavors like this:

Yes, I cooked traditional Japanese pub food – click here to see what this was:

I also had a blast making a pie – but it isn’t just ANY pie:

This one has Duck, Pancetta, Cabbage and Mustard!

Click here to see how I made it from scratch!

I have also cooked a traditional Italian “Sunday Gravy”, with an interesting assist from Actor / Cookbook Author / Food Travel Host Stanley Tucci:

I learned a fascinating bit of information about how you are supposed to serve this dish, and you can see how I did by clicking on my story here:

I am sharing and storing all of these recipes on my food website “Bite! Eat! Repeat!” – it’s your site for all things food – if you like what you see, please click on my link and follow this blog as well!

  1. John the scope of your interest in recipes never fails to amaze me. Your followers are lucky people.

  2. Everything looks delicious a great share , John 🙂

  3. Many years ago, we used to frequent a Polish restaurant in London that used to offer great Goulash. I looked it up and it is still open, well worth a visit next time you are in the UK, and they still serve the beef goulash! (Check out the menu from the main link)
