Have You Made Greek Salt? Well, Tandy Did And Here Is Her Delicious Recipe!

What Is Greek Salt?

I didn’t know, but thanks to a great blogger, I do now!

Tandy Sinclair shares this on her terrific blog “Lavender And Lime”:

“Because of our Mediterranean lifestyle choice, and because I love the flavours, Greek food was a big part of our Christmas meze. I like to think of this way of living as using excellent olive oil, and drinking good red wine. Greek cuisine features a lot of vegetables and grains. And all sorts of protein are consumed, from fish to rabbit and goat. Feta cheese is synonymous with Greek cuisine, as are olives and yoghurt. Lemons and honey are used for flavour. And what would desserts be without filo pastry? Using thyme, a herb found in abundance in Greece, and lemons, I made Greek salt to add to our meze table.”

I love greek food, and my wife and I had a magical visit to Greece, where we had an amazing meal and sunset on the island of Mykonos!

Here’s a look at the meal, the sunset, and if you look at the bottom right of the picture above, what is considered the most iconic Instagram shot on the island!

I also shared this terrific Greek Moussaka recipe from my friend Robbie:

You can see her entire recipe here:

My wife and I loved visiting Greece: from the bustling metropolis of Athens to some of the Greek Islands, like Santorini, where we visited a vineyard:

While these vines look somewhat familiar…here is what they look like in a wide shot!

This is what a vineyard looks like on an island that doesn’t get rain!
