Would You Bite Into This?
This is a slice of pizza I made at home: a close-up slice of a very unique pie I just had to make:

A Cheeseburger Pizza!
I found this picture online: showing how elements of a cheeseburger make their way over to a pizza crust.
A cheeseburger pizza delivers the ultimate comfort food mashup by layering seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar, tangy pickles, and a special burger sauce directly onto a classic pizza crust.
So, of course I had to make one at home!

Here are all of the large number of ingredients to make a homemade Cheeseburger Pizza recipe – with one really great shortcut!
First, make pizza dough or use one premade pizza dough crust.
In my case, due to none being available, I used store-bought frozen pizza slices – which came with just a little red sauce and cheese…a canvas I was about to paint with cheeseburger flavors!

For the Burger Sauce Base:
That’s right: just as you need red sauce for a pizza, you need a sauce for a cheeseburger pizza – with some fun flavors!
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp dill pickle relish
Here’s how easy this was to make:
For the Toppings:
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp steak seasoning
- 1/4 cup white onion (diced)
- 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
As you can see, this pizza offers up my favorite burger toppings: pickles and onions!
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with the olive oil. Add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking the meat into small pieces until it is completely browned. Stir in the steak seasoning, then remove from the heat and drain excess grease.
Here’s how easy it was:
Assemble the pizza: Spread the prepared burger sauce evenly across the crust, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Scatter half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the sauce. Evenly distribute the cooked burger-onion mixture and pickle slices, then top with the remaining cheese.
Bake: Slide the pizza into the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Here’s how it turned out:

Honest review? You’re either going to love this or hate it and I loved it so I loved it!
The creamy sauce was a bright tasty surprise – the creaminess of the mayo with the red sauce – being popped by the mustard, and the rest is just a hamburger pizza with cheese and pickles! I loved it, honestly!

The recipe I found called for the cheese to be added to the top, but I like the brash attitude of the pickles announcing themselves proudly – I see melted cheese all the time!

Some will dislike this immediately and that’s OK: but if you love a good cheeseburger you will really enjoy this!
This isn’t the first time I’ve had some fun with pizza: remember this?

That’s a Lasagna I made – using leftover pizza as the noodles!
See what happened here:
And I’m not the only one pushing the pizza boundaries – remember this?

Two things: one, it’s real – and two, I’d eat it!
Here’s a closer look if you dare:
And I also shared this unique pizza – which included pickle s as well!

But they also added pineapple – a bridge too far?

OK, let’s get serious about pizza….like this one that literally wants to explode with flavor!

It’s a “Volcano Pizza”, and the cheese flows like lava! Click here to see it up close!
