A Bowl Of Ramen Noodles….
…is a perfect meal. I love Ramen. I have extolled the health benefit of “Wet food” and will share that soon, so when you take a delicious broth, add noodles, the stuff the bowl full of vegetables, protein and a hardboiled egg, the result is perfection!
So I always take this photo:

This is my ramen lunch from Monday! I used the portrait mode on my phone to capture the noodles rising high above the bowl below…for those who don’t eat a lot of ramen noodles dishes, here’s a primer.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the dish:
- Noodles:. Ramen noodles are typically thin, long, and made from wheat flour. They are often alkaline, giving them a unique, springy texture.
- Broth:. The broth can be made from chicken, pork, or fish, and is flavored with soy sauce, miso, or salt. There are many regional variations in broth styles.
- Toppings:. Common toppings include pork (chāshū), nori (dried seaweed), menma (bamboo shoots), scallions, and boiled eggs.

I love the ramen bowls at “Simply Noodles”, located on 72nd and Amsterdam on New York’s Upper West Side, so I popped in for lunch on Monday!
As soon as my order arrived at my table, I did this:

Yep, I lift my noodles as “sky high” up as I can to get this shot before digging in…and I do it EVERY SINGLE TIME I order Ramen! Here’s what I ordered:

I ordered pork with seaweed, a hard-boiled egg sliced in two, plus corn, fish cake and an added order of sliced fish as well:

That’s the sliced fish on top: you can see that it still has the skin on, which gives it even better flavor! This entire bowl of ramen noodles was $20 with the add on – a very filling meal!
I’ve shared lots of great ramen dishes I’ve had, like this “Sweet Beef” ramen bowl!

Of course, I shot a “sky high” video as well:

Not so “sky high” but the sweet beef really keeps the noodles earthbound!
I also perused the terrific “Tempura Bar” they have here as well – check it out!
This was another great meal at my favorite LA Ramen shop…see it up close here:
Now, back to my claim that “wet food” is better for you – well, It is!

This delicious Sonoran Cheese Soup by the legendary Singer Linda Ronstadt is a perfect way to get your “A*G*E” on!
Click here and I’ll explain what that is and why it so important for your health!
I have also shared recipes for making fun ramen noodles bowls at home as well – using Cup Noodles!

I used a unique Cup Noodles flavor, enhanced with some of my favorite Asian bites – see how it all came together here!
