Bernadette’s “Kitchen Meditation” And Family Dinners! A “Sunday Gravy” Recipe Too!

Sunday dinner holds a special place in my heart.  It’s a time when family and friends gather together to enjoy a delicious meal, share stories, and create lasting memories. But, the pleasure of Sunday dinner goes beyond just the food—it’s about the entire experience.

Another aspect that enhances the pleasure of Sunday dinner is the act of cooking itself. As the aroma of spices fills the air and pots simmer on the stove, a sense of warmth and comfort envelops the kitchen. The process of preparing a meal can be therapeutic and fulfilling.   Why not use this time as a meditative experience? What follows is a simple kitchen meditation.

I love this recipe, have many friends who swear by their family’s “Sunday Gravy” recipes – handed down for generations, and Stanley Tucci includes his family’s recipe in his memoir as well!

I really loved the cultural insight from Tucci – Alex and I loved his CNN series about Italy – watch the Naples episode and see how we made his incredible “Spaghetti alla Nerano” with fried Zucchini!

I used Yellow Zucchini I Squash and have to say it’s a creamier flavor – one of my favorite dishes of all time:
