Who’s Up For Stuffing A Squid Or Two?
Well I am after reading a terrific post from Chef Mimi’s food blog! Mimi made stuffed squid using a recipe she discovered from the wife of a legendary Chef!
As Chef Mimi notes:
“The famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is married to a Korean-born woman named Maria Vongerichten, who was raised in the United States.”
She goes on to note:
“There is a public television series featuring her year of culinary and cultural Korean adventures, offering a delicious “entrée to the vibrant and savory cuisine of her homeland”. The companion book, published in 2011, is Kimchi Chronicles, from which this recipe hails.”
I won’t share the recipe here but will link to it – so you can get all of the photos and details on how to make a delicious mixture that you then stuff into a squid like this!

I can’t wait to make this recipe – click on Chef Mimi’s post here to see all the details!
I have not done stuffed squid this way but am going to soon, using this recipe and instructions.
I did squid THIS WAY:

Well, two ways actually. The first was a delicious Squid Stew, which is a favorite of mine – see the entire recipe here:
The “face full” of Squid happened when I made Japanese Pub food at home – and filmed my squid reveal like this:
So what did I make with my giant fresh squid?

Thanks to Chef Mimi for sharing such a great recipe!
