“Lobster Thermidor Or Chateaubriand?”
What a choice. You see, airline food is the real reason people fly…gourmet food presented by an attentive staff, always with caviar and a bottle of champagne at the ready:

Wait, you mean things have changed since I last flew?
Give me an example please:

Um….well OK, what is that exactly, and am I SUPPOSED to eat it?
I know that gourmet food is a thing of the past for most airlines, so why am I bringing it up now?
Because a hilariously funny blogger just posted about “Airline Food Fails” – and included my story!
Remember when I posted this?

It’s the only thing that Air Koryo, official airline of North Korea, serves to their customers…a “mystery burger” of monumentally bad proportions!

Here is my original story, which offers a glimpse inside the world of air travel in North Korea:
As I said, the terrific blog “Tasty Food Stories” shared my post as part of their list of epic airline food fails, and a few are shockingly hilarious! Go to the website here for the entire story:
Thanks again to “Tasty Food Stories” for including my story…and remember, we don’t expect food on an airline to be like the good old days…

Let’s not pick on the airlines too much: after all, there are plenty of food fails on ground level as well:

According to the title of this story I posted about the “floor sandwich”, I apparently felt it was a good way to take you into Easter….well, whatever my motivation was, here’s the entire story:
Not all wacky food is bad…sometimes you just have to look past some very obvious questions to ask, like “why is my bread sandwich stuffed with…BREAD?“
Remember when I shared a very unique sandwich?

Yes, that’s the original title for what is called a “bread sandwich!”
See exactly how they make it and the cultural significance by clicking on my story here:
Let me close with this one – a hilariously creative way to have fun with doughnuts:

But one company couldn’t leave a doughnut to just be a doughnut. You can see what Krispy Kreme did with their doughnuts here – I’d try this in a second!

omg! fail on that airline food! I don’t even know what that is in the square black food box thing. I’ll check out the blog, sounds like one I’d enjoy
Thanks for the comment, some real bad food fails for sure!
I gave up on airline food over 20 years ago, John. When I first started flying in the mid-1970s, there was a menu choice, and the meals were served hot, with proper cutlery and free wine! The last time I flew with British Airways to Prague in 2011, we were offered a ‘Breakfast Roll’ on an early flight, and that was it.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes Pete, so many people carry food onto the flight these days – all the airports here have extensive food offerings for that purpose…nothing too smelly
