Who Wants A Squid Burger?
The answer is easy: “I do!”
Once again, the intrepid Reporters at SoraNews24.com have the story of a unique burger from Japan!
As they report:
“Dom Dom deserves your yen. That’s because the home-grown burger chain — also the country’s oldest — is currently selling a creation they’re calling the Ika Devil Burger (Squid Devil Burger), and its black appearance is inspired by the bad guys from superhero franchise Kamen Rider.”
There’s the ad for the burger, which sells for 1,220 yen (US$8.24) which comes with fries and a drink — the burger can also be purchased on its own for 790 yen!
They review the burger with a lot of great information like this:
“The sauce helped to bring out the best of the squid, enhancing its flavour with a slight sweetness, due to the combination of soy sauce and mayonnaise in its makeup. The burger also comes with a Super Spicy Squid Devil Sauce on the side.”

Yes, I love squid as well – interesting that I get a number of comments from people who avoid it – but since I walk far around most things “eggplant” I guess I understand! Thanks for the comment!
I used to dislike eggplants but since living here my palate has changed and now I really like them probably because they are widely used in dishes here and also eaten raw with spicy dips 🙂
Carol, a dip is exactly how I like it…the flavor of course is terrific I have just had an issue with the texture of a cooked eggplant…still, I use it in dishes at times because my wife loves it and it’s all for her!
We eat the small purple ones or the green golfball size raw they are lovely with a dip nice and crispy 🙂
