Check Out These “Cheetle” Fingers!
First, thanks to my friend Lamya who just knew I’d want to share this story with everyone!
We all know what a “Cheeto” is, right?
These toasty, crunchy snacks taste like cheese, and they are dusted with orange “cheese dust” that turn your fingers that color…and of course make them finger licking good!
Have you ever seen a 17 foot tall Cheeto? Well, head to Canada and you can!
As CNN and many other news outlets have reported:
The bright orange, sticky residue that you get when you eat the snack now been immortalized – with a unique “Cheetle” statue in Canada!
Dip Into A “Cheetle!”
As CNN reported:
“The Cheetos brand erected the statue of a hand holding a massive Cheeto, complete with orange fingertips, in Cheadle, Alberta. The community was chosen because of its name’s similarity to “cheetle,” which the company says is, in fact, their name for the Cheeto dust that turns your fingers orange when you eat the snack!”
“Cheetos fans have always known that the delicious, cheesy dust on their fingertips is an unmistakably delicious part of the Cheetos experience, but now it officially has a name: Cheetle,” said Lisa Allie, the senior marketing director at PepsiCo Foods Canada.
The company is having fun with their culinary art. As CNN reports, Allie went on to add:
“We’re excited to be celebrating Cheetle and Canadians’ cheesy, Cheetle-dusted fingertips on such a grand scale and in such a uniquely mischievous way.”
But the unique piece of art won’t stay in Cheadle forever, according to the news release. Cheadle residents and visitors can check out the big, cheesy fingers until November 4. Then, the monument will embark on a tour of other locations in Canada.
Oh, so you know, Cheadle is a small hamlet located in Alberta’s Wheatland County. Its population is tiny: just 83 people lived there in 2021!
I love it when people can just have fun with their food:
