My New 2025 Food Ornaments! From Martinis To “Ho-Ho-Hamburgers And Hot Dogs!”

Cheers! Time To Decorate My Christmas Tree!

Yes, it’s my favorite time of year: I buy a tree and we dress it up with our food ornaments!

That’s our New York Christmas tree – more on where I got it later!

First, Alex added the sparkly lights, then some small furry balls on a string – and then, it was time to add our ornaments! Let’s check out some that made the tree this year, starting with this new gem from our friend Yvette!

Yes, it’s a Martini! I love this, and here’s how it looked on the tree, along with a tour of some of the others, including a rodent!

From a Martini to a “pizza-hugging Rodent, my tree is shaping up nicely!

I just love this….you remember that viral video of the New York subway rat dragging a slice of pizza across the tracks – my wife bought me this ornament! Let’s take a closer look:

I made my “now annual” trip to Macy’s department store – yes, the world’s largest, covering an entire city block on 34th and 6th avenue!

Inside, one entire floor is filled with nothing but holiday decor, and to get there, I took their iconic WOOD ESCALATOR!

These are so cool! They are original and still going strong!

I got to the holiday decor floor and loaded up with some new food-focused ornaments and here they are!

Yes, I’ve got wine glasses, champagne bottle, cocktails, and my new favorite: the giant hot dog!

Of course, those who have followed along for the past few years know that I am a bit OBSESSED with holiday ornaments:

Oh yes, from hamburgers to fried eggs, PB&J’s and more, I love my food ornaments….here’s a quick tour of our LA tree:

I told you I just bought our holiday tree – off the street!

Yep, there are “tree lots” on every street – this was Broadway! See how they do it by clicking on my story here!

The month of December is a busy one for everyone celebrating – whatever their faith. For me, I have to start planning my Christmas feast, which traditionally is this incredible dish thanks to Patricia Wells:

This is a Gigot D’Agneau – a leg of lamb roasted in the oven over sliced onion, potato and tomato!

Here’s the recipe plus some wild side dishes too!

After a great meal, time to settle in for a holiday movie – here are some of my favorites:

So much more of the season to go – buckle up!

  1. Great ornaments!!! I’m on my way to NYC right now!!!

  2. I love seeing your food ornaments !!

  3. Oh what fun! I have not decked a Christmas tree for years but always had a ‘theme’ in colour or ornaments for a ‘different’ look each year. The food ornaments I can more than understand . . . and you have picked a tree with a lovely even shape and some size on it! Enjoy !!!

  4. Love the martini glass. I was in a small, local Christmas shop last week and they had an entire wall of food ornaments, some of them quite realistic.
