Time To Head To The Sahara Desert!
I have followed Carol’s terrific “A – Z” of world cuisine for several years now, and each one is eye-opening and delicious!

On her latest culinary adventure, Carol heads to Mauritania, and it’s a delicious food journey!
In particular, I loved seeing the recipe for “Yassa Poulet”, with lots of onion and chicken in a unique sauce!

I am making this soon, but here is the recipe from Carol. See more recipes as well, and lots of great insight into this region of the world by clicking on Carol’s story here:
I have only been to the continent of Africa one time, last summer, but experienced the amazing countries of Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa, where a few Giraffes greeted us during our first sunset there:
On our first night of Safari with Singita Boulders lodge, they threw a “Boma”, which included fiery cooking outside like this!
Here’s the story of “sundowners”, “Boma” celebrations and more!
There is nothing more fun than having food adventures around the world and sharing them:

It’s my site for all things food – and I have more “Food With A View” adventures to share in 2026:

These are Greek potatoes, served with an incredible view of Athens behind them – you can see more of that adventure here:
